An important Note about our Training
In order to qualify for this training you must have a local, county, or state agency affiliation or belong to a first response / receiver organization. Please feel free contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility to attend training.
You must complete the entire online application in order to be placed on the class roster. Your phone number and email address are extremely important if we have to contact you for a class cancellation or change
The National Domestic Preparedness Consortium and FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute are currently eliminating SSNs in their application process and replacing it with a student number. This has been in the works for months now and a finally coming to fruition. This number will be used in place of the SSN on your application to attend training.
Please go to the link below to get a student number before enrolling. If you already enrolled please bring the number with you to class
About us:
Working together with the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy operates the Wyoming Homeland Security Training program. The program is responsible for the facilitation of training management for all U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA training programs in Wyoming.
This program also maintains the Wyoming First Responder Training database and collects training records for all recognized first responder disciplines to maintain a current resource of responders. From the training database, qualified first responders are issued the Wyoming First Responder Identification card.

Cancelled Classes
The following law enforcement classes have been cancelled due to low enrollments (some as low as 2 Students). We dislike making the decision to cancel any classes, but the training providers have a responsibility to be good stewards of the federal training funding they manage.
Cancelled- The InCop (Law Enforcement) classes scheduled for Monday 25 March 2013
If you enrolled in one of these classes please feel free to select another class.
Source Development is also being delivered Sat 23 Mar / 8:00 am-10:00am and Build a Shield / Terrorism Awareness is being deliveredSat 23 Mar / 10:00 am-12:00 pm
A note about course requirements
If you selected a class that states law enforcement only or fire only you must be a member of that discipline to attend. With the law enforcement only classes, there is information within the class that is not authorized to be released outside of law enforcement for security reasons. For the fire only classes – you must have a certain amount of fire training and skills to complete the objectives of the class.
Please Check back again soon we will be adding detailed information on accommodation’s
